Meet the patient
Two patients sit in this topic, and examiners move between them. The first is a four-year-old, placed after institutional care and three foster homes, who never reaches for her carer when she falls — yet climbs willingly into a stranger's car at the supermarket. The second is a twenty-four-year-old referred to your adult service after a financial exploitation episode, with documented early institutional deprivation and a legal report calling it "adult RAD".[1][5][11]
The fellowship questions live at the join: Is this RAD, DSED, an insecure style, or something else? What is first-line treatment? And what do you do with the adult whose childhood was deprivation, but whose diagnosis must be made on adult criteria?[1][11]
