Station brief
Format. Communication and escalation station, approximately 12 minutes. You are the registrar on night shift. A midwife, an anaesthetic registrar on call, and the woman and her partner are available. The assessor will run the clock and feed you new information. The clinical decision (category-1 caesarean) is straightforward; the station tests whether you get there safely through a scattered team. [1][14]
Candidate instruction. Lead the escalation. Verbalise the CRM skill you are using at each step, your communication with the team and the woman, and your handover to the senior who arrives. [5]
