Data viva — the gas laws
A Primary physics data viva — read a four-panel gas-law diagram plus a PV = nRT bar; name Boyle, Charles, Gay-Lussac and Avogadro; explain the universal gas equation; apply the laws to the N2O cylinder (liquefies, gauge constant, weigh it) and to altitude (partial pressure of oxygen falls with barometric pressure).

A 2-by-2 diagram shows four panels: a piston compressing a gas (P times V = constant), a balloon expanding over a flame (V divided by T = constant), a sealed pressure vessel with a rising gauge (P divided by T = constant), and a box labelled one mole equals 22.4 litres at STP; beneath them an equation bar reads PV = nRT. State the four laws and the combined equation, and apply them to a nitrous-oxide cylinder and to altitude.
