Scenario
During a general anaesthetic for elective abdominal surgery, the pipeline oxygen pressure alarm sounds. The pipeline pressure gauge on the machine falls to zero, the oxygen flowmeter bobbin falls and the nitrous oxide flowmeter also falls. The capnograph continues to show a trace.
