Station brief
Format. Communication and management clinic station, approximately 12 minutes. You are the gynaecology registrar. The patient is played by an actor; the assessor feeds results. [1]
Candidate instruction. Explain the diagnosis, prescribe the first-line treatment, initiate a partner notification conversation (offering patient referral, provider referral and patient-delivered partner therapy), and arrange follow-up. The trap is to prescribe azithromycin 1 g as the first-line chlamydia regimen in a non-pregnant patient, or to skip the partner notification entirely. [1][2]
