Emergency-management station: a bradycardic newborn needing ventilation, then compressions and adrenaline. Tests the sequence, the escalation thresholds, the ventilation settings and saturation targets, closed-loop communication, and handover to the neonatal team. Includes assessor key and marking domains.

Station brief
Format. Emergency-management station, approximately 12 minutes. You are the registrar at the resuscitaire with a scrub midwife and an anaesthetist; the neonatal advanced resuscitator is en route. The assessor runs the clock and feeds new observations.[1]
Candidate instruction. Lead the resuscitation of a bradycardic term newborn. Verbalise your assessment, your ventilation strategy, your escalation thresholds and your drug orders with doses, and your communication with the team and the parents.[1][2]
