Station brief
Format. Communication and multidisciplinary-management station, approximately 12 minutes. You are the gynaecology registrar. The consultant, maternal-fetal medicine, medical and radiation oncology, neonatology and psycho-oncology are available via the multidisciplinary team. The assessor will run the clock and probe your management and your communication. [1]
Candidate instruction. Lead the multidisciplinary management of cervical cancer diagnosed at 19 weeks in a woman wishing to continue the pregnancy. State the governing principle, justify your staging, defend the treatment plan that allows continuation, apply the rules of chemotherapy in pregnancy, and counsel the patient.
