Anaes Cases · Aspiration & regurgitation
The intraoperative aspiration
The hot case — the intraoperative aspiration. The immediate airway clearance (the head-down, the lateral, the suction), the tracheal suction before the ventilation, the 100 per cent oxygen and the lung-protective ventilation, the bronchoscopy for the particulate, the ICU, and the NOT (the lavage, the prophylactic antibiotics, the steroids).

Prompt
During the induction of the emergency surgery, the regurgitated gastric contents appear in the oropharynx and the airway after the intubation. Manage.
Presentation
During the induction of the emergency laparotomy in the bowel-obstruction patient, after the intubation, the regurgitated gastric contents (the brown, the particulate) are seen in the oropharynx and suctioned from the endotracheal tube. The capnography confirms the tracheal position. The saturation is 90 per cent. Manage the aspiration.[41329173]
